Attorney Jill R. Cohen
Jill Cohen has been fighting for citizen’s right since graduating top in her class from Law School. She is kind, fearless, attentive, aggressive and she is great at what she does.
Since 1983 as a Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney she tried numerous felony and juvenile cases. She also was an appellate lawyer in the office which equipped her to be an expert at criminal law and to fight all the way for her position.
After moving to New Jersey she was appointed Assistant Camden County Prosecutor where she tried and won jury trials in drug cases, murders, aggravated sexual assaults, domestic violence and other serious crimes. She was well respected and liked by judges, court personnel and colleagues.
She became equipped to do what she loved – representing citizens of New Jersey who were accused of the most serious crimes, and small offenses throughout the State in the Municipal Courts, the trial courts and in the appellate courts. As a criminal defense attorney she has tried and won trials before juries in Gloucester County, Atlantic County, Burlington County and Camden County. No case is too complex or too little for her to fight it until getting the result that you want.
In addition to criminal law she has represented those wrongfully accused of domestic violence gaining dismissals of many Temporary Restraining Orders. She understands that restraining orders are used offensively by plaintiffs who seek to punish a spouse or boyfriend for things that they just didn’t do.
If you are charged with any crime in New Jersey she is fearless yet respectful and stands up to any lawyer or even a judge to fight for her beliefs and your rights.
