Pennsauken NJ Man Accused of Beating, Murdering Toddler

Pennsauken Man Charged with Fatal Beating of Toddler

Police recently arrested a Pennsauken NJ man who allegedly beat a toddler to death. The homicide victim was a two-year-old boy, the son of the suspect’s girlfriend.
The suspect reportedly committed the homicide on Saturday night at an apartment located on Mansion Boulevard in Pennsauken, New Jersey. When the Camden County Police Department received an emergency call about a child who was unresponsive, they immediately dispatched police officers to the residence. Camden County cops and emergency responders went to the apartment and found the boy suffering from catastrophic injuries.
The young victim was rushed to nearby Cooper University Hospital in Camden NJ, where doctors tried to save his life. Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead approximately 30 minutes after arriving at the Camden medical facility. Medical officials later said that the boy died due to blunt force trauma to the torso, which caused severe damage to his vital organs.
Camden County Prosecutor’s Office detectives and Pennsauken Police Department detectives worked together on a joint investigation into the homicide and soon determined that the suspect likely killed the two-year-old child.
The suspect is a 24-year-old man who is from Pennsauken, New Jersey. He reportedly lived with his girlfriend and her child at their Pennsauken apartment.
If the child had survived his injuries, the suspect likely would have been charged with aggravated assault. Instead, because the toddler died due to his injuries, the suspect now faces criminal charges for first degree murder.
After being charged and processed in the criminal case, the suspect was remanded to the Camden County Jail in Camden, NJ.
